MOVE is the largest winter evangelism conference in the GA region and is specifically designed to engage a young audience on meaningful topics. It’s attended by more than 3,000 middle school and high school students from across the state and was hosted at an adventure theme park.
The process and outcome looked a little like this:

Conference’s Key Goals
MOVE is a religious conference and community-building event that connects with GA young people to make a positive impact. With the average Gen Z attention span under 8 seconds, holding attention and achieving high engagement are critical elements for a live event.[1]
The primary goal of this event is to engage attendees, get them out of their seats and into enthusiastic participation, and create those big-impact moments that define a successful event.
Event Challenges
This was a fun and engaging conference, with all three sessions held at Wild Adventures Theme Park’s large, covered venue. The Technical Elements crew provided full event production services, except for backline and instruments, which were provided by the band, Edenfield.
MOVE was an outdoor show, and the weather was the primary challenge. Environmental factors can directly affect how a PA system performs and how sound carries through a space, and are particularly difficult to control in outdoor spaces. Constantly changing conditions, including rain, wind, humidity, and temperature changes, all created new obstacles for our team.
Technical Elements’ Strategic Approach To Goals and Challenges
The weather, combined with the unique outdoor space, required our team to be proactive in properly securing all equipment to keep it protected while remaining fully operational.
We continuously monitored conditions and made real-time adjustments to the system tuning using JBL Performance Manager. This allowed us to compensate for the weather variables and maintain consistent, high-quality audio coverage throughout the event.
Our team’s experience and expertise helped us troubleshoot these and other minor syncing issues, improving the kids’ experience and keeping the event on schedule.
